I will be monitoring all of the discussions on the website - to see what people are sharing and to award participation credit - but if you have any questions you would specifically like me to address, you can ask them here. You can always ask private or individual questions by email, but if your question might benefit the class, this is a great place to ask!

Hi class,
Someone in another class asked me how I prefer headings to be formatted, whether essays need titles, and if I require cover pages. These are all good questions, and the answers apply to everyone.
I would like headings that are single-spaced and left-aligned that include name, class section, assignment (for example "My Antonia essay"), and date.
A title would be nice, but is not required. When we have longer papers, creative titles will be required. For essays, you don't need to have a title, but it might help to grab my attention.
No need for a cover page.
Because I didn't give these requirements sooner, they will not apply for tomorrow's essay. Please apply them to future assignments.

Just making sure-vocabulary sheet, book, and character sheet and discussion questions are all to be completed by tomorrow, right?

Not the discussion questions - we'll work on them in class this week. Or do you mean the study questions worksheet? That one is due on the day of the test (which should be Tuesday, Dec. 10th).
Tomorrow you should be finished reading and have completed your vocab chart and your character sheet.
